the truman show:seeking the true self and the wind of freedom in the unreal world
《楚门的世界》：在虚幻世界中寻求真实的自己和自由的风
the truman show is a 1998 american film directed by peter weir and starring jim cary, laura linney and ed harris.the film tells the story of truman, an ordinary man living in a huge studio monitored by cameras 24 hours a day. his entire life has been chronicled and broadcast on a television show called “the truman show,” without his knowledge.
《楚门的世界》 是一部1998年上映的美国电影，由彼得·威尔导演，金·凯瑞、劳拉·琳妮、艾德·哈里斯等主演。电影讲述了楚门这个普通人生活在一个被摄像机24小时监控的巨大摄影棚中的故事。他的整个生活都被一档名为《楚门秀》的电视节目所记录和播放，而他自己全然不知道。
truman has been placed in this virtual world since he was a child. his family,friends, neighbors, colleagues and so on are all actors.they aim to create a perfect life by controlling everything about truman.however, as time went on, truman began to doubt the reality of the world.he gradually developed there are some doubts and contradictions, and begin to search for and explore the truth. in the end, he decided to overcome the false world and pursue freedom and real life.
楚门从小就被安排在这个虚拟世界中，他的家人、朋友、邻居、同事等都是演员，他们旨在通过控制楚门的一切来创造出完美的生活。然而，随着时间的推移，楚门开始怀疑这个世界的真实性。他逐渐发现一些疑点和矛盾之处，开始寻找和探索真相。最终，他决定战胜这个虚假的世界，追求自由和真实的生活。
the truman show is a film that considers the themes of reality and illusion, freedom and bondage, truth and lies.through truman's journey, it arouses the audience's thinking and questioning about the real world. the film delves into man's free will and desire for authenticity, as well as the power of the media over individuals and society.

1.your life should not be someone else's script
truman lives in seahaven, following his daily routine study, work, fall in love, get married... live a life that is accustomed to. however, behind all this was a carefully planned scam, with everyone around him and everything he experienced carefully designed by the director. moreover, his every move was monitored throughout the entire process, with 24-hour global live streaming.
what's even more surprising is that in order to meet the expectations of the audience, he was arranged to perform excellently and be polite; in order to maintain the operation of the program, he was arranged to encounter a shipwreck, and from then on, he was afraid to go to sea and could only stay on the island.

1.你的人生，不该是他人的剧本
楚门生活在桃源镇，每天按部就班地学习、工作、恋爱、结婚……过着习以为常的生活。不过，这一切的背后却是一场精心策划的骗局，他身边的每个人、经历的事情都是导演精心设计的。不仅如此，他的一举一动全程被监控着，24小时全球直播。更让人意想不到的是，为了迎合观众的期待，他被安排成绩优秀，文质彬彬;为了维系节目的运行，他被安排遭遇海难，从此惧怕出海，只能一直呆在岛上。
“你无权把一个生命当成一场秀。”
2. from a different perspective, the real world is right in front of you.
truman calmed down and thought carefully, only to find that his life was full of strangeness and seemed to be manipulated. one outrageous thing after another made him feel very strange, as if telling him that everything he went through was carefully designed by someone.
later, he began to try to get rid of this carefully designed 'script'. if the purchase of a flight ticket fails, then try driving; if obstructed by the police, go sailing; when the sea is stormy, he overcome his fear as far as possible.
his repeated attempts have only one purpose, to get rid of the “script” designed by others.
“we accept the reality of the world with which we're presented.”but from a different perspective,you will find a new world.
2.换个视角，真实的世界就在你眼前
楚门静下心来仔细想想，结果发觉自己生活处处透露着怪异，生活似乎被操控了。一件又一件离谱的事，都让他感到非常奇怪，似乎在告诉他，他所经历的一切都是某个人精心设计好的。
后来，他开始尝试摆脱这种精心设计的“剧本”。机票买不到，那就尝试开车;被警察阻拦，就去驾船出海;海上狂风暴雨，就去克服内心的恐惧。
他这一次又一次的尝试，目的就只有一个，摆脱别人设计的“剧本”。
“每个人都会接受眼前的现实。”但是换个视角你就会看到新世界。
3. jump out of your comfort zone and live your true self
after his unremitting efforts, truman finally found the “mastermind behind the scenes” who controlled his life. at this moment, the director said to him, “there's no more truth out there ......than there is in the world i created for you. same lies. the same deceit. but in my world, you have nothing to fear. i know you better than you know yourself.”“you're afraid.that's why you can't leave.it's ok.truman.i understand.i have been watching you your whole life.i was watching when you were born,i was watching when you took your first step,i watched you on your first day of school.the episode when you lost your first tooth.you can't leave,truman.you belong here.with me.”
feeling that his life must be under his own control, truman resolutely chose to go to the real world, even if he struggled to survive in an unfamiliar world.
"good morning, and in case i don't see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!＂
3.跳出舒适圈，活出真正的自己
经过了自己不懈的努力，楚门终于找到了操控人生的“幕后黑手”，这时，对方却对他说:“外面的世界跟我给你的世界一样的虚假，有一样的谎言，一样的欺诈，但在我的世界里，你什么也不用怕，我比你更清楚你自己。”“你害怕，所以你不敢走，楚门，不要紧，我明白。我看了你的一生，你出生时，我在看你，你走路时，我在看你，你上学时，我在看你，你不能离开，楚门，你属于这里，跟我一起。”
而楚门认为他应该掌控自己的人生，毅然决然选择去往真实世界，哪怕在陌生世界当中艰难求生。
“早上好!假如再也见不到你,就再祝你下午好，晚上好，晚安!”
＂we've become bored with watching actors give us phony emotions.we're tired of pyrotechnics and special effects.while the world he inhabits...is, in some respects, counterfeit,there's nothing fake about truman himself.＂
“我们看戏看厌了虚伪的表情，看厌了花巧的特技，楚门的世界…可以说是假的，楚门本人却半点不假。”
truman's choice is undoubtedly the most unwavering one to confront the life that has been paved for him. the first step is to overcome the psychological barrier of fear of the sea, the second step is to meet the unknown storm at sea, and the last step is to overcome these storms and escape from the world even if you are struggling.
when the unknown danger outside reached the point where he could die, truman still chose to fight hard, a courage that most of us do not possess. this kind of courage is that even in the face of seemingly insurmountable storms, one still carries a firm belief and determination to “break through”, even though you are scarred, you will not retreat at all.
when the director spoke of "you belong here," truman did not waver in his desire to leave utopia，nor was he angry with these words. instead, he gave his usual blessing and made a gentleman's ultimate bow, as if saying, “thank you for creating such a 'perfect' world for me, but i don't belong here. i want to pursue my own life.”
楚门的选择，无疑是对抗这为他铺好的人生最义无反顾地那个。克服自己畏惧大海的心理障碍是第一步，迎接海上未知的狂风暴雨是第二步，战胜这些风暴、哪怕摸爬滚打也要逃出这样的世界是第三步。
当外面未知的危险到了可以让他丧命的地步的时候，楚门却依旧选择奋力一搏，这种勇气是我们大多数人所不具备的。这种勇气是即使面对的是仿佛无法跨越的风浪，依然怀揣着“闯出去”的坚定信念与决心，哪怕伤痕累累，却也不退丝毫。
在导演说出“you belong here”时，楚门没有动摇离开“乌托邦”的信念，没有对这番言辞的恼火，只是一句一如往常的祝福，和一个绅士至极的鞠躬，仿佛在说:“感谢你曾经为我打造的这样一个'完美'的世界，但是我不属于这里，我要去追求属于我自己的生活了。”
put yourself in your shoes, when we face two choices, one tells us that your future life will never be stormy, smooth, and healthy, and your world will be centered around you, but you cannot choose; and another tells us that your world will be completely unknown, you may face countless falsehoods and lies, but you can try and error infinitely, and pursue your love recklessly.
how would you choose?
truman's determination has given countless viewers courage and strength, that is, boldly go on your night journey.
设身处地的想，当我们面对两个选择：一个告诉我们，你此后的生活将永无风浪，平稳安康，你的世界将以你为中心，但你无法选择;而另一个告诉我们，你的世界将会一片未知，你可能面对无数虚假与谎言，但你可以无限试错，肆意追求自己所爱。
